art has always been an expression of my emotions, opinions, and
ideas. I use it to portray ideas in a way that words can not.
The images that I conjure tell a story. It is my hope that their
stories will touch the lives of everyone standing in their presence.
Now I have a new story to tell, one that should have been told a long time
ago. The story of the Araona. A tribe of Indians living in
tune with nature and God's will. "The quiet people."
Unfortunately this story does not have a happy ending yet. I say
"yet" because the final chapter has not been written.
Though unknowingly, we play a vital role in the lives of these
Indians. Our impact could either help or destroy them and their way
of life. Which avenue the future follows depends in large part on
decisions that you and I have to make. I have been working on a
show that will depict the lives and struggles of the Araona. It is
my hope to bring awareness and support to the indigenous peoples of South
America. The show will include many mediums as well as a
CD release entitled "Peace in the Chaos: A Tribute to the Araona."
I spent a couple years composing the music on the CD, and I have been told
that it appropriately brings a calming and contemplative peace to those
listening. The tracks include classical guitar, hand drums, didgeridoo,
as well as other less common instruments. Check back in the near future to
